Asamoah Gyan: If I were Andre Ayew, I wouldn't be Happy.

Asamoah Gyan, a former captain of Ghana, says he comprehends the allegations that Andre Ayew is upset over not being included in the most recent Black Stars roster.

Head coach Otto Addo of Ghana stated on Wednesday that Ayew has been left off of his team's 26-man roster for the country's forthcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.

Following a strong season with Le Havre, the 34-year-old had anticipated being included in the starting lineup for the two pivotal matches.

Reports further state that Ayew, 34, is not thrilled with the decision to exclude him, which Addo confirmed.

Gyan, nevertheless, thinks the captain of the team's response is "normal."

Speaking on Joy Sports' Game Plan, he said, "If it were me, I wouldn't be happy, which is a normal thing, but at the end of the day the coach has made the decision so we have to just support."

"We shouldn't forget Andre is already a legend."

On June 6, Ghana will go to Bamako to play Mali. On June 7, Ghana will return to Kumasi to play the Central African Republic at home.
